In a way, I sort of feel sorry for Wisconsin's governor, Scott Walker. (R-WI) On the one hand, he sure has hell stirred up a crap-tacular mess in picking a fight with the public employees unions. On the other hands, even the like of Time's Joe Klein (D-Beltline) says he's right to do what he's doing, because, after all, who are the unions standing up to: A big Greedy Business that screws it's workers? No, the public is who the unions are protesting. The Wisconsin public employees unions pay nothing into the retirement programs and noting into their health care program.
I don't get it. Don't the unions realize that their behavior is going to blow up in their faces like a Warner Brother cartoon cigar? The well of sympathy is draining fast and I suspect that more people than not think them greedy pigs in these dour economic times.
